User Rights
User Rights
User rights refer to the permissions and privileges assigned to individual users within a software system or application. These rights determine the actions and operations that a user is allowed to perform within the system.
By configuring user rights, you can control and restrict user access to different functionalities and ensure that users have appropriate permissions based on their roles and responsibilities within the system.
To provide user right, Go to Account >> Setup up >> User Rights
On the primary information section, Select the user whose user rights we are trying to modify. Enter a number in Back Date Allowed For field. This number represents up to how many days we can go back and modify older transactions. The number here will be applied to all the Voucher Types.
The following screen will be displayed after we select a user.
On the Voucher Rights section, we can see the list of Voucher types. In order to provide Add, Update and Reverse rights, we have to tick the box in the corresponding row.
For example, if you want to allow a user to add new sales invoices and update existing ones, you would tick the checkboxes for "Add" and "Update" in the row corresponding to the "Sales Invoice" voucher type. Similarly, if you want to allow the user to reverse transactions, you would tick the checkbox for "Reverse" in the same row.
