Bill matching in accounting refers to the process of comparing and reconciling vendor bills or invoices with the corresponding purchase orders, receiving reports, and other relevant documents. It involves verifying that the billed amounts, quantities, and terms align with the agreed-upon terms and the goods or services received. By matching bills with supporting documentation, accountants can ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies or errors that may require further investigation or resolution. Bill matching is a crucial step in maintaining proper financial records, controlling costs, and managing vendor relationships effectively.
To View Bill Matching, Go to Account>> Transaction>> Bill Matching
After you click on Bill Matching you will view page as below where you are required to fill data as per requirements to get the result of bill matching. In this section we can view bills created and match them with the transactions done and verify mistakes if any occur.
As an example, After filling the fields we got result as shown below which can be cleared and reloaded as per need.
